Hello, friends of the project! I’m continuing to expand the website’s detail and functionality in order to clearly convey the ideas for improvement and more easily facilitate feedback and participation from the community. There’s still a fair amount of work to be done to get everything into perfect shape.

I’d like to get enough information gathered to apply for a Love My Neighbor Grant to begin work on the area. These are small grants from $500 to $2500, which would be a great way to start by removing old pavement and some basic groundwork. The application deadline is March 24th, so I’m working on it!

April 29th is a Community Cleanup day for Wilkinsburg, and a great opportunity for this project. The area currently has a fair amount of brush that needs to be removed, as well as some dumped trash and broken items. I’ll be reaching out to the Borough to see what resources they can offer to help in cleaning up this area. If you’re interested in helping with the cleanup, be sure to visit the Contact Page!
